This 2007 Glenrothes 16-year-old came from a single refill sherry butt that yielded 648 bottles at its whopping 62.7% cask strength – a result of Glenrothes filling their casks at full strength rather than watering their new make spirit down to the industry standard 63.5% filling strength.
Sherried Glenrothes really starts getting into its stride at this sort of age – this should be a splendid dram.
