Founded by Chivas Brothers in 1957 on the site of a former mill, GLEN KEITH is a relatively modern Speyside distillery with a distinctive history of experimentation. When production began, the distillery produced a triple-distilled malt, an uncommon approach for a Highland whisky at the time, before moving to the more conventional double-distillation process in the 1970s. Its spirit has also appeared under the names Glenisla and Craigduff in independent bottlings.
This 1993 vintage was matured in Bourbon Barrel #82776 and bottled by Signatory Vintage. The Bourbon cask allows Glen Keith’s lighter and fruit-driven character to develop through maturation, making this a classic independent bottling that showcases the distillery’s individual style.
