GLEN GRANT 74 ans 1948 Coronation of King Charles III Gordon & Macphail

$42,000.00

On April 10, 1948, the spirit from Glen Grant distillery was placed in this cask #1365 (First Fill Sherry Butt) by Gordon & MacPhail. That same year, King Charles was born, the first child of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip. At the age of three, he became the designated heir when his mother ascended to the throne. Charles is the oldest heir apparent, and at the age of 73, he became the oldest person to ascend the British throne after the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. With a pioneering approach to long-term aging, passed down through four generations within the Urquhart family, it is only now that this cask is being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail to celebrate this momentous moment in history. Bottled on December 15, the same date as His Majesty’s baptism, this whisky is a fitting tribute to a man who has tirelessly promoted and protected sustainable traditions and excellence for decades.
