Description
TASTING NOTE
Color: green gold.
Nose: fine, delicate. Very subtle blend of vanilla, cut grass and malted barley, the first nose is also delicately anise and honey (lime blossom, acacia). When aired, the aromatic palette opens up to more fruity registers (pear, pineapple, lemon), slightly medicinal and camphoric. Scents of green tea, gray pepper and iris punctuate the olfactory stage of the tasting with a lot of class.
Palate: lively, straight. Very nicely malty, the attack on the palate also highlights many aromatic plants (bay leaf, sage, chervil, tarragon). The mid-palate adds vanilla and herbaceous tones (cut hay, alfalfa) whose delicate touch provides a lot of smoothness and freshness to the taste palette. In the aftertaste, coffee beans, coriander and sweet spices (ginger, cinnamon) combine wonderfully to close the second stage of tasting in a voluptuous manner.
Overall: long, racy. In turn exceptionally malty, the start of the finish returns with delight to the fruity character of the aromatic palette (pear, banana, mirabelle plum). Both full of liveliness and at the same time smooth, the very end of the palate oscillates between flavors of concrete, iris, bourbon vanilla, pineapple and candied ginger. Extroverted, the retro-olfaction takes us right in the middle of a field of green barley while a few grains of salt settle on the palate. The empty glass reveals aromas of peppermint, green licorice and star anise.
