The Foursquare distillery is a historic site in itself: it was built in 1996 on an old sugar factory established in Barbados since 1636. Richard Seale, the current owner and heir to four generations of rum merchants, changed the course of his family’s history by designing the distillery’s stills in 1996. All rums are made from fermented molasses and are all distilled, aged, blended, and bottled on site. As a family-owned business, Foursquare is free to work on its products and improve them as it sees fit. Richard Seale takes pride in offering quality and authentic products, without the addition of sweeteners or texturizers.
