Tasting Notes

Colour : Bright gold.

Nose : Complex, dense. At once fruity (pineapple, mirabelle plum), empyreumatic (rubber, hot asphalt), resinous (sugarcane), and honeyed (acacia), the initial nose also reveals lactic notes (almond, coconut), spiced (clove, nutmeg), and saline touches. With aeration, it reveals exotic fruits (pineapple, banana) and aromatic plants.

Palate : Lively, tense. Very bold, the initial attack on the palate showcases the purity of a smooth distillate wrapped in vanilla pods and chocolate. In the mid-palate, cane sugar literally flows over the tongue. Its honeyed, saffron, and lemony tones bring energy and freshness to the flavor profile. In the aftertaste, mint leaves and candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) interact with great verve. A sage infusion refreshes the palate in the end.

Finish : Long, silky. Evoking a lemon meringue tart, the start of the finish also reveals a beautiful exotic fruit liqueur (pineapple, banana, kaffir lime, kiwi). Becoming increasingly complex, the end of the palate is licorice-like, heady (iris), and honeyed (lavender). The aftertaste revisits notes of hot tar and very ripe bananas. The empty glass is medicinal (balm), camphorated, and vegetal (artichoke heart).
