Description
TASTING NOTE
Color: deep old gold.
Nose: fine, balanced. Marked by very pretty vanilla, malty, herbaceous (cut hay, straw) and stewed (apple, pear) notes, the first nose evolves towards more exotic (pineapple, banana) and more roasted (coffee) registers. When aired, spices (pepper, cinnamon) constitute a link that is both delicate and solid with citrus fruits (orange, tangerine) and aromatic plants (verbena, sage).
Palate: lively, dynamic. The attack on the palate further increases the level of tasting while a few ointments coat the taste buds. This finely medicinal entry allows full expression of malted cereal notes of great purity of expression. In the mid-palate, coffee, cocoa beans, flavors of cider and toffee go well together. Gourmet, the aftertaste is an invitation to savor nougatines and salted butter caramel.
Overall: long, full of peace. Confident of herself, the start of the final evokes a pound cake as well as a famous Breton galette. Gradually, acacia honey, the scent of blossoming orchards and heady flowers (mimosa, broom) deeply permeate the taste buds. Mature and subtly woody (wax), the retro-olfaction is also vanilla. While adding a medicinal and camphoric touch, the empty glass restores the main aromas of the first nose down to the comma.
