Description
TASTING NOTE
Appearance: orangey copper with green reflections.
Nose: rich, fleshy. On the first nose, apricots and their stones rub shoulders with aromas of dark chocolate and pine resin of great distinction. With aeration, it evolves into notes of prune with Armagnac and candied citrus fruits (orange, tangerine). More and more camphorated and spicy (star anise, cinnamon), the aromatic palette then becomes exotic (grilled banana, roasted pineapple). Finally, scents of honeysuckle, iris and lily perfume the ambient atmosphere.
Palate: ample, deep. With a very refined floral touch (rose, peony), the attack on the palate also evokes the peel of ripe fruits (white peach, apricot, blood orange). Exotic (mango, guava), the mid-palate is also chocolatey, roasted (coffee), deliciously salty and salivating. The aftertaste emphasizes the elegance of perfectly integrated oak.
Overall: long silky. Powdery, the start of the finish reveals flavors of turmeric, crème brûlée, toffee, candied ginger and gentian root. Remarkably fresh, it shows youthful expression and also great maturity. On the retro-olfaction, orange zest, apricot kernel and lime blossom honey bring a lot of nobility and liveliness to the taste palette. The empty glass reveals aromas of coffee, pipe tobacco, chestnuts and walnut stain.
