Tasting Notes

Colour : Mahogany.

Nose : Rich, powerful. Exotic (mango, guava), resinous (pine), heady (concrete), and spicy (Cayenne), the aromatic palette is superbly expressive. With aeration, ripe bananas and pineapples enhance its fruity register. Gradually, a touch of smoke and varnish adds a more empyreumatic dimension.

Palate : Lively, spirited. Right from the start, flavors of hydrocarbons (gasoline, petroleum) imprint the Caroni signature on the flavor profile. Then, a fine layer of licorice and grated ginger gently coats the sides of the palate before oriental spices (turmeric, curry, ylang-ylang) seize the tasting space.

Finish : Long, silky. Having found its balance, the tasting now evolves towards more powdery registers (rice, ginger), medicinal (arnica, balm), and camphoraceous notes. In retro-olfaction, very ripe bananas, raisins, and pipe tobacco create the perfect harmony.
