Highly sought after by independent bottlers, the single malts from the Caol Ila distillery on Islay are renowned for their distinctive character and versatility.
This Caol Ila is a reliable favorite among peat enthusiasts. With minimal influence from its aging in ex-bourbon casks, it features an oily, smoky, and briny profile, enhanced by notes of charcoal, camphor, and salted preserved lemons.
Like others in The Un-Chillfiltered Collection, the whiskies in the Very Cloudy range are bottled from small batches of two to five casks.
Reduced to 40% without chill filtration or added coloring, they offer a rich, highly aromatic profile with a slightly cloudy appearance.

Nose : Smoky with a hint of ash. Charcoal, menthol, malted barley, citrus, licorice, and earthy notes.
Palate : Oily and peaty. Tar, salted preserved lemons, camphor, linseed oil, and white fruits.
