This Caol Ila 28 Year Old 1983 Silver Seal is a rare single cask release distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2011, with only 350 bottles produced. Released by Silver Seal, a respected independent bottler founded by Ernesto Mainardi, this expression showcases the extraordinary elegance that extended ageing can bring to Islay whisky. Nearly three decades in cask have softened and refined the peat, allowing layers of maritime complexity, mature fruits and gentle oak influence to emerge in remarkable harmony.
