For the Master Blender’s Reserve 2022, Oliver Chilton drew inspiration from the historical rums of the Black Tot collection. These rich and indulgent rums revealed notes of baked banana, dark chocolate, mocha milkshake, honey, tobacco, leather, licorice, and spices. This blend consists of the previous Master Blender’s Reserve, which has matured in sherry casks since Black Tot Day (July 31) 2021, as well as rums from British Guiana, Jamaica, Trinidad, and Barbados. Bottled at 54.5%, this complex limited edition is a perfect representation of rums that shared the lives of sailors over half a century ago.
