Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Old gold.
Nose : Fine, airy. Very delicate, the nose is powdery (rice), spicy (fresh ginger), verdant (ivy), and floral (honeysuckle). Upon aeration, fragrances of arnica, dark chocolate, candied mirabelle plum, and barley porridge constitute a second aromatic sequence of rare concentration, embellished with a refreshing saltiness.
Palate : Firm, powerful. Dense and indulgent, the palate evokes a Breton pound cake. Then, the mid-palate has a very fine texture. Infused and with a pleasant malty bitterness, the finish is verdant (bay leaf, lemon balm, sorrel).
Finish : Long, fulfilling. Spiced (Espelette pepper, curry), the palate, reminiscent of a Jura yellow wine, becomes increasingly earthy and rustic (gentian, dandelion), candied (pear, walnut), and tertiary (date, prune). The aftertaste impresses with its persistence.
Profile : Airy and powerful.
