Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Orange copper.
Nose : Rich, full-bodied. Initially, subtle aromas of rancio (cherry brandy, apricot), dried fruits (date, walnut), curry, and pralines bring a lot of brilliance to the aromatic palette. Then, a rich, oily peat emerges gently, filling the atmosphere.
Palate : Lively, assertive. Deliciously praline-like, the flavor profile is also tenderly spiced (cinnamon, ginger). Gradually, a fine layer of salted caramel coats the palate. Then, without missing a beat, it shifts towards more tangy notes (orange zest), exotic (mango, persimmon), and heady (heather, orange blossom).
Finish : Long, concentrated. Powdery (cocoa), slightly earthy and spicy (saffron, nutmeg), the tasting naturally moves towards malted, herbaceous (tobacco), and oxidative (sherry, balsamic vinegar) realms. In the retro-olfaction, flavors of toffee, cake, and other empyreumatic notes (ashes) prolong the tasting experience.
