Completely revised in 2020, with a double effort to redesign expressions and visual identity, the Benriach range made a splash by reaffirming the key points of the distillery. With one of the richest barrel collections in Europe, the distillery is full of exceptional barrels with cosmopolitan origins (ex-Bourbon, Sherry, Port, Rum, Madeira, and Marsala barrels), which is a real treasure for making rich blends. A pioneer of peated malt distillation in the 1970s in the Speyside region and equipped with its own still operational maltings, Benriach and its famous Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie offer editions, whether peated or unpeated, of great complexity that will delight enthusiasts.
The Young Rebel Collection includes a series of young and lively single malts under a single label, whose lively character is softened by a slight reduction. This 8 year old Benriach, heavily peated, has aged in a bourbon barrel, giving this Highland malt an unexpectedly smooth and smoky character. Founded in 2013, Hidden Spirits is a young Italian trade house whose name means “hidden spirit”, highlighting the care taken by its founder, Andrea Ferrari, in the selection of whisky and rum barrels.
