Colour:Â Coppery orange
Nose:Â Rich and deep. Slate-like minerality, medicinal and camphor notes sit alongside smooth chocolate, orange zest, iris and fresh straw. With time, the whisky becomes spicier (Espelette pepper), autumnal (chestnut, date) and balsamic (Oregon pine), while a refined rancio emerges with hints of apricot and cherry eau-de-vie
Palate: Lively and bold. Café au lait, tropical fruits (mango, passion fruit), quince paste and marmalade deliver both body and freshness. Gradually, honeys (heather, lavender), red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), rose petal and orange blossom coat the palate with elegance
Finish:Â Silky and lightly tannic. Notes of dried fruits (date, almond, chestnut) mingle with impressions of dry leaves and late-autumn warmth. As it lingers, the profile drifts towards Andalusia; walnut, curry, salted almonds and apricot-mango fruit paste
