Located in the heart of Speyside, Balmenach has been owned by the Inver House group since 1997. Confidential and isolated like many others, this distillery primarily produces single malt whisky used in the group’s blends.
Previously owned by United Distillers & Vintners, Balmenach was once available as a 12-year-old under the Fauna & Flora range. Closed from 1993 to 1997, it reopened in 1998 under new ownership. The few available versions of its single malt are produced by independent bottlers like Signatory Vintage and Gordon & MacPhail.
