TORMORE 21 ans 2003 Single Cask

Part of Elixir Distillers’ Legacy Series (the first official vintage releases from Tormore under Elixir’s ownership) this Tormore 21 Years Old 2003 Single Cask showcases the distillery’s hallmark fruit-driven elegance shaped by more than two decades of maturation. Drawn from a first-fill bourbon cask distilled in 2003, it opens with bright citrus and creamy vanilla before deepening into poached pear, soft pastry and refined oak. The palate is rich yet measured, balancing structure, sweetness and freshness, while the long, silky finish weaves together ripe lemon, vanilla and delicately toasted wood. This cask highlights Tormore’s ability to age gracefully while retaining its luminous, orchard-fruit character.

Built in Speyside in the late 1950s, Tormore has long been admired for producing smooth, fruity single malt, though much of its output historically went into premium blended whiskies. Since Elixir Distillers acquired Tormore in 2022, the distillery has embarked on a new chapter, one focused on revealing its identity through official vintage releases ahead of a full core range debut. The Legacy Series, curated from hand-selected casks, is designed to honour Tormore’s heritage and showcase the distillery’s natural style: clean citrus, soft orchard fruits, gentle oak and quiet sophistication.
