This Speymalt 23 Year Old 2001 is drawn from a first-fill sherry hogshead, selected and matured by Gordon & MacPhail — one of Scotland’s most respected independent bottlers, founded in Elgin in 1895.
Part of the Speymalt from Macallan series (launched in 1998), this collection gathers rare vintages that highlight the dialogue between spirit and exceptional wood. A first-fill sherry hogshead ensures a pronounced cask influence, enriching the distillate with oxidative depth and layered complexity.
Bottled at natural cask strength (58.3%), without chill-filtration, it preserves the whisky’s full aromatic intensity and textural richness.
