Tasting Notes

Colour : Bright gold.

Nose : Rich, complex. Oxidative (cooked apricot and strawberry), exotic (mango), and smoky (beeswax, suspended dust), the initial nose is absolutely magnificent. Upon aeration, heady scents of sandalwood, incense, and flowering geranium mingle with subtle notes of bitumen.

Palate : Both lively and airy. Embracing the mineral character of the aromatic palette, the palate is also honeyed (heather), fruity (strawberry, raspberry), and chocolatey. In the mid-palate, freshly malted barley grains cascade onto the tongue.

Finish : Long, intense. Saturated with smoky ash aromas, the finish is creamy (milk tart, almond), vanilla, and fruity (Williams pear). Infused with lime and verbena, the aftertaste reveals a dry peat and germinated barley grains.
