Description
Tasting Notes
Nose : Original, assertive. The grape takes center stage in the aromatic palette, followed by candied fruits (pear, white peach). It becomes increasingly spicy (star anise, cardamom) and reveals vegetal notes (green wood, bamboo). Smooth toffee, milk caramel, and exotic fruit (pineapple, lychee) notes crescendo to the peak.
Palate : Lively, elegant. It is more indulgent than the nose suggests, with the exotic notes becoming more exuberant. The mid-palate moves away from the classic Cognac style to evoke a rum, taking us straight to the heart of the Caribbean. Gradually, fine salty particles coat its tropical and resinous flavors (cypress, cedar).
Finish : Both warm and fresh. It oscillates between exotic fruits (banana), tobacco notes, oak, and dried fruits (chestnut, cashew). Its fine tannins gradually contract the palate. The retro-olfaction is fruity (white grape, peach), and the empty glass is slightly spicy (ginger, cinnamon).
