Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep coppery orange.
Nose : Rich, heady. Very confit (orange, apricot), roasted (coffee), and indulgent (gingerbread), the initial nose is also smoky (charred wood). With aeration, a fine layer of salted butter caramel settles before exotic fruits (mango, guava) make their appearance.
Palate : Dense, balanced. Oxidative, the palate’s entry strongly revisits the exotic character of the nose while adding spices (cardamom, clove) and heady flowers (geranium, carnation). Dark chocolate and gentian roots refresh the palate.
Finish : Long, robust. Powdered (cocoa), the start of the finish is also spicy (grated nutmeg). Then, with its infused black tea flavors, the finish demonstrates a pleasant freshness adorned with mango coulis. The aftertaste hints at flavors of geranium and orange jam.
