Created in 1813 by Joseph Noilly in the South of France, the original recipe is complex, involving a two-stage aging process, precise blending, maceration with numerous aromatic herbs, and filtration. The two white grape varieties from Languedoc, Picpoul and Clairette, are aged in two types of barrels before being blended with chamomile, coriander, bitter orange, and nutmeg. Ideal for enjoying as an aperitif, it can also be used for culinary purposes to flavor your sauces or deglaze your meats.
