Distilled at Nine Leaves and matured in a red wine barrel from California’s Wente Estate in Livermore Valley, this final-era release captures the distillery’s elegant yet extroverted style. The wine cask lends brightness, texture and gentle tannic structure, amplifying the spirit’s naturally pure, fruit-forward character. Vibrant, floral and softly creamy, it bridges Japanese precision with the aromatic charm of a Highland single malt, revealing layers of orchard fruits, honey, spice and cane sugar complexity.

Founded in 2013 by Yoshiharu Takeuchi in Shiga Prefecture, Nine Leaves became one of Japan’s most respected craft rum producers, known for small-batch distillation, Forsyths copper stills and exceptionally pure cuts. When the distillery closed in late 2023, its remaining ageing casks were entrusted to Velier and Luca Gargano, preserving these rare stocks as collectible, terroir-driven bottlings that now represent the final chapter of Nine Leaves’ cult legacy.
