Founded in 1894 in the heart of Speyside, Longmorn has long been regarded as one of Scotland’s finest yet understated distilleries. While much of its production is destined for premium blends such as Chivas Regal, Longmorn is highly respected by whisky enthusiasts for its rich, fruity spirit and remarkable ageing potential. Its naturally elegant and full-bodied character flourishes in both bourbon and sherry casks, making mature single cask releases especially sought after.
This Longmorn 1972 Exclusive Vintage was distilled on 8 March 1972 and bottled on 7 September 2011 by Gordon & MacPhail exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. Drawn from Cask #1090, this limited edition showcases nearly four decades of patient maturation, highlighting the exceptional partnership between one of Speyside’s most revered distilleries and one of Scotland’s most respected independent bottlers. A rare and highly collectible expression, it captures Longmorn’s signature fruit-forward elegance with the remarkable depth that only extended ageing can deliver.
