The typical new-make sweetness and spice already seen on the nose explodes once on the palate. Very dry at first, with notes of roots and molasses followed by aniseed notes that then develop into the typical flavours of Finnish rye bread.

The idea for the Kyrö distillery originated in a sauna in Finland in 2012. It was born from the desire to acquire a cheese-making factory that had been closed for 5 years. In 2014, Rye Rye finally came into existence.
Juuri means “Origin” in Finnish, but it is also the term for the base of rye bread. Produced from 100% malted Finnish rye, it’s the first step in creating the Nordic Single Malt Rye Whisky.
