Colour : Old gold.
Nose : Refined, ample. Very elegant, the nose reveals wisps of finely herbaceous smoke. With aeration, blocks of dried peat and scents of warm brioche rise to the surface of the aromatic palette. Candied fruits (pear, lemon) and aromatic plants harmoniously coexist.
Palate : Clear, refined. A perfect synthesis of the nose, the mouthfeel exhibits peat nuanced with empyreumatic tones (sleet), peppery, oily (olive), and roasted (mocha) notes. The aftertaste evolves towards creamy flavors of porridge and cut hay.
Finish : Long, silky. At the mouth’s attack, strands of green barley gently caress the palate. Increasingly saline, the gustatory palette evokes samphire. Mineral (slate, sandstone) and licorice-like, the aftertaste gives voice to a rooty peat (ginger, gentian).
