Description
Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep gold, reflecting tropical ageing in ex-Bourbon casks
Nose : Intense and expressive, the aroma opens with voluptuous notes of ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, banana) layered with light smoky hints. Subtle floral and vegetal tones add depth and elegance, highlighting Hampden’s signature high ester funk.
Palate : Rich, round and perfectly balanced. A burst of candied pineapple and ripe banana leads into hints of spice and roasted nuts, supported by fresh green, vegetal touches that showcase the distillery’s natural fermentation style.
Finish : Long and evolving. Gentle floral tones give way to herbaceous and slightly saline notes, lifted by a lively citrus freshness (lemon, grapefruit), with lingering sweet spice and white fruit complexity. A classic example of authentic Jamaican rum: bold, funky, yet refined.
