GLENTURRET 1987 Aged 30 Years 8th Edition ARTIST S.V

$595.00

After remaining closed between 1921 and 1959, Glenturret owes its resurrection to one man, James Fairlie, who began major renovation work at the end of this period. Today, not only does the distillery produce a single malt that is extremely popular with enthusiasts, but it is also one of the most visited distilleries in Scotland. Full of determination and completely uncompromising, this version relentlessly pushes the boundaries of what is expected of it. This particularly unusual malt is set on surprising tasters, like the basket of vegetables found at the end of the palate.

Description

Profile: the rich initial nose is jammy (Mirabelle plum) and vanilla. It then becomes candied. Allowed to breathe, malted barley fills the aromatic palette. The creamy attack is spicy and vinous (white grape). The mid-palate invites us to collect different vegetables (aubergine, courgette). The exotic finish (mango, passion fruit) is also characterized by red fruits (raspberry, strawberry). Single Cask no. 371 – Hogshead.
