Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep old gold.
Nose : Rich, complex. Preserved (plum, pear), honeyed (lime, heather), and tertiary (dried date and fig), the first nose also reveals a beautiful rancio character (apricot, cherry eau de vie). With aeration, cocoa powder and grated ginger rain down on the aromatic palette.
Palate : Generous, elegant. Covered by a fine layer of salted butter caramel, the palate entry is also marked by notes of candied citrus (lemon, mandarin). Nobly spiced (cardamom, clove), the mid-palate evolves towards chocolatey notes of great refinement.
Finish : Long, indulgent. At the beginning of the finish, delicious tannins of dried grapes and peach skin gently envelop the taste buds. Tinged with exoticism (banana, mango), the aftertaste extends with remarkable fresh flavors of biscuits, toffee, and creamy coffee.
