Description
Colour: deep orangey copper.
Nose: both firm and smooth. Elegantly shaped by Madeira cask maturation, the aromatic profile reveals precise notes of roasted peanut, toffee, orange zest and dried apricot. With aeration, it develops peppery accents alongside exotic fruits (mango, guava) and balsamic notes (pine).
Palate: lively and taut. Energised by orange zest, the flavour profile faithfully echoes the rancio tones of the nose before evolving towards a more unctuous texture. Notes of cane sugar, chocolate cream and guava gradually envelop the entire palate.
Finish: delicate and crunchy. Red fruits (raspberry, wild strawberry), heather honey, saffron and gentian add increasing complexity to a serene and perfectly balanced conclusion. In retro-olfaction, aromas of blooming geranium, sandalwood and salted butter caramel bring a final touch of elegance.
