Tasting Notes

Colour : Burnished gold.

Nose : Refined, smooth. The fruity (pear, apple) and vanilla first nose is also honeyed (acacia) and gently herbaceous. Allowed to breathe, candied citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and exotic fruits (pineapple, passion fruit) enrich the aroma palette’s fruity register. The overall effect is one of remarkable unity.

Palate : Lively yet delicate. Continuing on perfectly from the nose, with more power and depth, the attack reveals the same notes of fresh fruit (apple, pear), exotic fruit (pineapple, passion fruit) and citrus fruit (lemon, grapefruit). The very mature mid-palate is characterized by flavours of nuts (almond, walnut) and fine spices (cinnamon, grated ginger).

Finish : Long, creamy. At the start of the finish, coconut milk and lime blossom honey tactfully join the flavour palette. Powdery (cocoa), exotic (banana) and peppery, the end of the finish gradually becomes richer (Far Breton cake). On the retro-nasal olfaction, candied ginger and bitter orange create a flavour duo that overflows with enthusiasm. The empty glass is very slightly medicinal (ointment, mustard).
