Tasting Notes
Nose : Full, smooth. At first, orange blossom, orange zest, dark chocolate, licorice, and Emeri cloth create a remarkable sequence of classic aromas. With aeration, exotic fruits (mango, pomegranate, persimmon), tiger balm, leather, spices (ginger, black pepper), dried apricots, and salted caramel highlight the oxidative and extroverted nature of the aromatic palette. Very pulpy, it also shines with its complexity and presence.
Palate : Lively, elongated. Absolutely magnificent, the initial touch is exotic (mango, persimmon, guava), honeyed (guava, lime), powdery (cocoa, ginger), and smoky (sandalwood, eucalyptus). In the middle of the palate, tonka beans, mustard seed, and infused bay leaves mark a tertiary evolution. Darker and thus even more mature, the aftertaste reveals superb flavors of beeswax, candied apricot, quince, and walnut.
Finish : Long, rich. At the start of the finish, delicious honeys (lavender, lime, heather), cocoa beans, roasted mangoes, apricot coulis, and an infusion of verbena spread with extreme softness across the palate. The retro-olfaction is a tribute to the wonderful fruit that is the apricot. The finish is a delicious blend of vanilla ice cream, apricot sorbet, and quince jelly. The empty glass hints at candied ginger, licorice, dark chocolate, and burnt wood.
