The Christian Drouin Long Pond Angels is a 14-year-old Calvados Pays d’Auge whose aging was finished for 7 months in old French oak barrels that previously contained the great Jamaican rum Long Pong ITP 1995. Bottled at 45%.vol, particularly rich, the nose is smooth and blends notes of brown sugar, melon, papaya, and apple. The palate, with a beautiful acidity, offers vanilla and pepper notes, and a long finish of banana and apple. After Hampden Angels, Guillaume Drouin’s wish was to work with the other great distillery in Jamaica. In this collaboration with Plantation Long Pond, once again, the surprising and magical alliance of exotic rum aromas with those of calvados was highlighted.
