The house of Christian Drouin continues to explore new flavor combinations. After the launch of Christian Drouin’s Gin in 2015, the only gin made from over 30 varieties of cider apples and 7 selected aromatics for their perfect combination with apple and juniper aromas, Guillaume Drouin presents a new blend dedicated to red fruits. Carmina is made according to the same principles as the original version of Le Gin; each aromatic is macerated and distilled separately to optimize the extraction of flavors. The distillates are then blended before bottling. This time, the bouquet is summery. It combines flowers and fruits with the use of raspberry, black currant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon, and orange in addition to juniper and Norman cider apple varieties. The packaging of Carmina retains its identity, but with a raspberry red color code this time as a reminder of the dominant aroma of this particularly delicious new gin!
