For three generations, the Christian Drouin family has been dedicated to producing some of Normandy’s finest Calvados. Established in 1991 on a former stud farm in Coudray-Rabut near Pont-l’Évêque, the house is renowned for its exceptional collection of vintage Calvados, with stocks dating back to 1939. The Clarendon Angels edition continues this journey by pairing a 16-year-old Calvados Pays d’Auge with the vibrant character of Jamaican rum casks from the renowned Clarendon Distillery. Finished in these distinctive casks, the Calvados develops an intriguing interplay of orchard fruit and tropical richness. Notes of dried apple and apricot are complemented by ripe banana and sugar cane, while the palate reveals remarkable intensity balanced by praline, dried fruits and gentle peppery spice. The result is a bold yet elegant expression that beautifully bridges the worlds of Calvados and Jamaican rum.
