Tasting Notes

Colour : Orange copper.

Nose : Refined, elegant. Initially, the aromatic palette is remarkably balanced, featuring notes of apricot, medicinal (arnica), candied (pear, mirabelle), and mineral (slate, lava). With aeration, this pleasant sensation of fullness continues with scents of iris concrete, licorice, chocolate, and heather honey.

Palate : Both smooth and dynamic. More empyreumatic (smoke, petroleum), the flavor profile enthusiastically and faithfully reflects the essence of the aromatic palette. Over time, it gains creaminess (cane sugar). Then, increasingly tertiary (mushroom, creosote, dried leaf), it takes on beautiful autumnal hues.

Finish : Long, silky. Intensely spiced (star anise, cinnamon, clove), with licorice and animal notes (bacon), the tasting builds in strength towards nobly herbal (Havana), empyreumatic (petroleum), and powdery (ginger) registers. Evoking a cabinetmaker’s workshop, the retro-olfaction reveals hints of suspended dust and precious wood notes (rosewood).
