Description
Colour: Mahogany.
Nose: Rich and complex. Alongside remarkable fruit freshness (apricot, orange, prune), the nose is enriched by striking beeswax aromas, instantly recalling a very old Rasteau or Banyuls fortified wine.
Palate: Delicate yet invigorating. Carried by an exceptionally silky mouthfeel, the palate is filled with tropical flavours of very ripe banana and mango, roasted pineapple and melon. It then becomes more powdery (cocoa, freshly grated ginger), with a tactile sensation reminiscent of biting into the skin of a wild peach.
Finish: Dense and full. Dominated by tightly interwoven notes of orange and dark chocolate, the finish gradually shifts towards autumnal tones of chestnut, date and dried leaves. Despite its profound maturity, a persistent menthol freshness remains. The empty glass releases aromas of precious woods, rice powder and lightly burnt cane syrup.
