TASTING NOTE
Nose: Elegant, deep. First of all, it oscillates between citrus fruits (tangerine), straw, wax and ripe fruit (apple, pear). Barley grain is revealed with rare evidence. It develops on dry earth, spices (ginger, star anise), salt, green liquorice and plants (Greek fennel, lemongrass).
Palate: Lively but coated. Empyreumatic (menthol, fir), luscious (orange, mandarin), it is also spicy (nutmeg) and fragrant (Russian leather). Its notes of bitter almond and salted butter evoke a reposado-type tequila (blue agave).
Finish: Long, refined. Placed on a bed of malting barley, candied (apricot, plum) and exotic (pineapple) fruits make it smooth and almost pulpy. It lingers on with marshmallow, heady flowers (vetiver, geranium), black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) and dried banana. The empty glass evokes the crackling of flames.
