Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep old gold.
Nose : Rich, creamy. Revealing sublime aromas of cedar, iris, and lily, the aromatic profile is also vanilla-scented and spiced (clove, nutmeg). Upon aeration, it shifts toward fruitier (prune, date) and grainy (corn) registers. Then, becoming more honeyed (linden), it is gradually energized by citrus zest (grapefruit, lemon).
Palate : Both lively and delicate. Initially, a fine layer of salted butter caramel coats numerous white fruits (apple, pear, peach). These fruits then release a tart and sweet juice across the palate. Finally, vanilla pods perfume a voluptuous flavor profile.
Finish : Long, smooth. Powdery (cocoa, grated ginger) and creamy (flan, coconut milk), the tasting continues with freshly herbal, licorice, and rooty flavors (gentian). Then, in retro-olfaction, exotic fruits such as mango, persimmon, and guava make a well-timed entrance.
