First introduced in 1984, Blanton’s made history as the first bourbon to be commercially released as a single barrel whiskey, a concept that transformed the American whiskey landscape. Produced at the renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, the bourbon is named in honour of Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who led the distillery from 1912 to 1953 and was known for selecting exceptional barrels for private bottlings.
Blanton’s Original Single Barrel remains the flagship expression of the range, offering a beautifully balanced and approachable Kentucky straight bourbon. Each bottle comes from an individual cask, allowing subtle variations from barrel to barrel while preserving the signature Blanton’s profile of sweet corn, caramel and spice. Smooth, rich and elegantly structured, it continues to be one of the most recognisable and collectible single barrel bourbons in the world.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel, vanilla and honey with hints of citrus peel, toasted oak and light baking spice.
Palate: Smooth and balanced with flavours of sweet corn, toffee, candied orange, nutmeg and gentle oak.
Finish: Medium to long with lingering caramel sweetness, vanilla and soft spice.
