Tasting Notes

Nose : Fine and precise. Dark honeys (fir, heather) set the tone for the aromatic palette. It then evolves into blood oranges and heady flowers (lavender, purple lilac). Next, its vanilla and fruity notes (apricot, fig, date) gradually emerge.

Palate : Powerful and firm. Creamy (coconut, almond), the palate is also tertiary (dead leaves, humus) and fruity (walnut, pistachio) upon entry. The mid-palate highlights ripe fruits (mirabelle, plum). Spices (pepper, cardamom, cinnamon) come into play on the back palate.

Finish : Long, somewhat tannic, yet enveloping. Cocoa bean, nutmeg, and pipe tobacco testify to its complexity. Its chocolatey, spicy, and herbaceous evolution is confirmed. The retro-olfaction is finely woody (oak) and floral (lilac), and the empty glass brings back notes of cereals (corn).
