While there are about fifty active distilleries in the Caribbean today, Haiti alone has 532! The production of Clairins is artisanal, authentic, and artistic.

The varieties of sugarcane used are non-hybrid and are cultivated using completely natural methods. The harvest is still done manually, and the transport of the canes to the distillery is carried out by donkeys or ox-drawn carts.

Made from fresh sugarcane juice, spontaneously fermented, distilled in pot stills heated over an open flame, and bottled at natural strength, Clairins offer unexplored and surprising aromas.
