Tasting Notes
Colour : Old gold.
Nose : Both delicate and expansive. Beautiful notes of beeswax, dried apricot, and toffee brighten the initial nose. With aeration, its fruitiness takes on an exotic touch (mango, persimmon) and noble spices (ginger, cinnamon). Increasingly honeyed (lime tree, lavender), the aromatic palette gains in smoothness.
Palate : Elegant, creamy. At the palate’s onset, flavors of salted butter caramel coat the taste buds. Then, dried fruits (almond, walnut, fig) dominate the mid-palate. Vanilla and milky (coconut), the finish is delightfully lemony.
Finish : Long, serene. The beginning of the finish reveals candied citrus notes (orange, tangerine) and quince jelly. Heady (lilac, hyacinth, carnation), the very delicate aftertaste (rice powder, grated ginger) concludes in a finish that is both chocolatey and woody (sandalwood, eucalyptus).
