Description
Tasting Notes
Style / Profile:
Rich and concentrated. Malted barley, pear, wax
Nose:
Full and generous. Malted and peppery, with herbal notes of freshly cut hay, vanilla and heady iris concrete. With aeration, candied fruits (pear, apple), liquorice, beeswax and arnica rise in intensity
Palate:
Dense and lively. Energised by candied citrus, the palate is creamy and malt-driven, with vanilla and fruit notes of coconut and pear. It then becomes milky and mentholated, wavering between zesty lime and indulgent custard
Finish:
Long and well-structured. A seamless continuation of the nose and palate, showing pepper, malt and lemon. Retro-nasal aromas evoke herbal infusions (thyme, chamomile) and the warm atmosphere of a traditional maltings. The empty glass reveals vanilla, resinous cedar and a soft porridge-like sweetness
