THE BRAND
Rye whiskies are rare! And any new product is bound to attract considerable attention. Templeton Rye is a brand of rye whiskey whose recipe was developed in the small town of Templeton (Iowa) in 1920, in the early days of prohibition. Also known by the name of ‘the good stuff’, Templeton flourished under Al Capone, and even after he was caught, a few bottles are said to have found their way to his cell in Alcatraz prison.
