Distilled two years after The Macallan distillery was acquired by its current owner, the Edrington company, this single cask joins the prestigious Speymalt from Macallan collection, created in 1998 by the Gordon & MacPhail trading house. This emblematic range includes some of the brand?s oldest vintages, dating back to 1938, 1940, 1950 and 1965. Very finely nuanced, the chromatic palette of this expression unfolds in a series of golden tones whose mature character brings particular emphasis to the fruity, floral, herbaceous, malty, and medicinal dimensions of its harmoniously oxidative aromatic and flavour profile.
