This Secret Speyside (GL) 16 Year Old – 100 Proof Edition is a powerful sherried single malt matured for 16 years in first-fill oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 57.1% ABV (100 Proof / Navy Strength). Beneath its discreet name lies Glendullan, a Speyside distillery rarely seen in official single-malt form. The combination of robust strength and active sherry wood delivers an intense yet balanced profile, where spice, caramel and nutty richness unfold with depth and clarity. This expression exemplifies the 100 Proof range’s philosophy: whiskies of maximum intensity without sacrificing aromatic precision.
Founded in 1897 in Dufftown, Glendullan was the last of the town’s seven Victorian-era distilleries to be established. Traditionally prized for its elegant, fruity spirit, it has long played a key role in blended Scotch, particularly within the Diageo portfolio. Official single-malt releases are rare, making independent bottlings especially valuable in revealing the distillery’s true character—particularly when paired with sherry maturation. This bottling forms part of Signatory Vintage’s 100 Proof range, a series celebrating traditional maturation, high natural strength and transparency, allowing each distillery’s identity to express itself with uncompromising intensity.
