A superb Guyana rum from 2004, flamboyant and deep, whose gourmet dance is balanced by refining in barrels having contained whisky. Slightly astringent and subtle notes of licorice bring finesse and lightness to the tasting rum.

Nose : Very flowery and vegetal at the nose, with chamomile and medicinal herbs, it’s perfumy, waxy and only slightly pungent (notes of camphor and white pepper).
Palate : Dry and mineral, at the palate it’s quite chewy: beeswax, again the herbal and peppery notes, lemon peel, a certain fruitiness but no funky esters.
Finish : Long on tea and chamomile.
