MULASSANO Hampden Finish

Founded in Turin, Caffè Mulassano has long been a cultural landmark, frequented by artists, writers, politicians and performers from the nearby Teatro Regio. Inside the café, a plaque commemorates a defining moment in Italian culinary history: “In 1926, Ms Angela Demichelis Nebiolo invented the sandwich.” Established in the late 19th century by Amilcare Mulassano, the café also became the birthplace of Mulassano Vermouth, created in collaboration with master distiller Pietro Bordiga. Faithful to its original recipe, Mulassano Vermouth remained a local Turin treasure for decades before being released internationally for the first time in 2016, preserving a historic style rooted in tradition and craftsmanship.

Mulassano Hampden Finish is the result of a collaboration between Mulassano, one of Italy’s most iconic vermouth houses, and Luca Gargano, a leading figure in the world of rum. This vermouth is aged for a minimum of 30 days in Hampden rum casks, then refined for a further 60 days in bottle within Mulassano’s historic cellars. The result is a distinctive expression that harmoniously combines classic vermouth structure with the exotic depth and complexity imparted by Jamaican rum cask influence.
